How to setup the plugin with BRAT

Why do I need BRAT to setup the "Snipd Official" plugin?

We are still waiting for the Obsidian team to review the plugin to add it to the official community plugins. However, there is a multi-month wait, so we decided to already release it to the world now via the BRAT plugin πŸ˜„

  1. Install the BRAT community plugin and enable it.

  2. Go to BRAT options, click on "Add beta plugin" and paste the "Snipd Official" plugin's repository: https://github.com/snipd-app/snipd-obsidian, then click on "Add plugin". You can use the latest version tag to keep the plugin updated.

  3. Enable the "Snipd Official" plugin and open the plugin's "Settings".

  4. Click on "Connect" to sign-in with your Snipd account. If you have an issues connecting to your Snipd, please make sure you open the link in your native web browser, not in Obsidian's in-app browser.

  5. You should now see all settings. Optionally: customise the settings.

  6. Start your first sync by clicking on "Start syncing".
FYI: If you have many snips, this can take a couple of minutes.

  7. πŸ“’ Please give us your feedback!
