Auto Downloads

Auto-downloads automatically downloads episodes to your device for offline listening. Snipd offers three ways to configure auto-downloads to match your listening habits:

Smart Downloads

Automatically downloads episodes based on your listening patterns and preferences, ensuring you always have the content you expect ready.

Queue Downloads

Downloads episodes you've added to your queue, so your planned listening is always available offline.

New Episodes Downloads

Automatically downloads new episodes from your selected podcasts as they're released.

How to Configure

  1. Navigate to You β†’ Downloads

  2. Tap on the settings icon on the right corner

  3. Enable/disable each auto-download type

  4. Set episode limits for each type

  5. Configure Only over Wifi to prevent the app from downloading when using a cellular network

All auto-downloads respect your storage limits and will automatically remove older and completed episodes to make room for new ones.

Manual Downloads

You can download a single episode in two ways:

From the episode details:

  1. Open the episode you want to download

  2. Tap the download icon on the episode's detail page

From your podcast feed:

  1. Navigate to the "Podcasts" screen

  2. Long-press on any episode in the feed

  3. Select the download option

Accessing Downloaded Episodes

Access your downloaded episodes through the "Downloads" list on the "Podcasts" screen or through You β†’ Downloads, where you can also manage your offline content.

Offline Features

Downloaded episodes enable:

  • Offline listening without an internet connection

  • Creating and saving highlights without connectivity

  • Storage management through the downloads section

  • Queue-based automatic downloads for new content
